Reviews from satisfied customers have always been considered the best source of information about top restaurants, wherever you were. However, nowadays customers may sometimes hesitate about their authenticity.

What carries the same weight and credibility today as it did years ago, however, is a recommendation from Michelin. The guarantee of objective evaluation by their inspectors and the ceaseless effort to elevate gastronomy brings certainty to guests even after more than 100 years.

Thanks to the initiative of the Czech Tourist Authority, the first official Czech version of the Michelin Guide was created at the end of 2025. Inspectors recognized 79 establishments.

• One restaurant received an amazing 2 stars,
• 7 restaurants took home one star each,
• 18 establishments earned the Bib Gourmand,
• and 52 establishments made it into the Michelin Selected selection.

It is in this ranking that Restaurant Le Marché was placed as one of only three restaurants in Karlovy Vary.

1 of the 79 TOP Czech Restaurants 

Since December, you can find us among the 79 TOP Czech restaurants according to the Michelin evaluation in both the printed and online versions of the guide. And now, you can finally find Michelin at Le Marché as well. In mid-February 2026, the official handover of the Michelin plaque took place at the hands of representatives from Makro, the official partner of Michelin in the Czech Republic.

Although we pride ourselves on making sure any awards received are evident primarily on the plate, this visit delighted us immensely. The logo is a great recognition of quality work done with heart. At the same time, it represents a huge commitment for the future.
